Andre Adami

Visual Arts Department Chair (Elementary, Middle and High School)

Andre Adami is a visual artist, musician, and educator whose eclectic practice spans visual art, design, music, photography, and performance. He holds a master’s in Visual Arts and Philosophy, a PGCE, and a master’s in International Education. Throughout his career, he has navigated both the commercial and fine art worlds—sometimes keeping them distinct, sometimes bringing them together in unexpected ways—often alongside his work in education.

He has taught and led programs in visual arts, art history, and design across secondary and tertiary education for nearly two decades, including positions at the European Institute of Design (IED) in Milan, the Shanghai Institute of Visual Arts, and Dulwich College International in Shanghai. He also contributes to the International Baccalaureate (IB) community as a certified IBEN examiner and IBEN workshop leader. His interests include art-making, music, and exploring meaning through creative forms, and outside the studio and classroom he is happily in the company of dogs.
